Description
Photo was taken at Camp Wellfleet (Marconi Site) by Paul Prue and Bob Hersey in 1957, showing the Mass. National Guard 685th AAA Battery D practicing gunnery. These artillery went with the 211th Coast Artillery in 1940 to Texas for their training. On 7 Dec 1941, they were moved to California for protection of the coast, and after the war they were returned to Mass.Artifacts
