The homestead of David Matthews, 44 High Bank Road, South Dennis. The home was built by David Matthews, himself, in 1841. Now the home belongs to Mrs. Frank (Loretta) Westerhoff. Four children were born to David Matthews by his wife, Susan B. Taylor: Eldora (1848-1886); Jonathan (1850-1926) who occupied and owned the houe after the death of his parents; Lucie T. (1853-1932) who removed to Haverhill, MA; and David Lincoln (1859-1937). Betty Barnes.Related items
