Two cards, in a stamped envelope, to Private Ralph Nickerson from Mrs. E. A. Osborne ( Mattie Belle Haines Osborne). She was the wife of Dr. Ernest Osborn( born 20 Dec 1877 and died 21 Mar 1957 - buried at the West Dennis Cemetery).The envelope is postmarked: "West Dennis, 4 Nov 1918," and is addressed to: "Pvt. Ralph Nickerson, Battery A, 101st Reg. F. A., American Expeditionary Force (via N.Y.), 51st Brigade, 26th Div." The return is: "Mrs. E. A. Osborne, West Dennis." One side of each postcard is a patriotic message to the boys, "from the folks at home," the other side has a letter.Related items
