Crane is finally free of the pit, caked in mud, and ready to be washed off - views of the crane which sank in the marsh, south of Point Allerton, while trying to dig a ditch in the fill to relieve drainage for George CanhamDeciding. Three cranes and/or trucks were used to pull it out. The photo is from the second of two groups concerning the digging in Sesuit Harbor.
