    This letter is the fifth page in what we have called “Notebook #2.” This is a composition book which contains drafts of letters written by Captain Joshua Sears between July 1852 and June 1859.It is a draft of a Letter from Sampson & Tappan to Joshua Sears, imparting instructions for the voyage from Boston to ports in China
