This package of letters was found in March 2009 in the office of the Josiah Dennis Manse by Phyllis Robbins Horton, during a general inventory. The envelope in which they were found was addressed to “Mr. Nye Crowell, Cape Cod Cooperative Bank, Yarmouth Port” together with a cover letter from Rev. John D. Verdery. Phyllis understands that Nye gave the letters to brother Joshua Crowell, who delivered them to the Manse. The documents were transcribed by Burton N. Derick and in usual fashion, the transcriptions have transcriber comments in square [ ] brackets. All transcriptions use original punctuation, spelling and structure.
