Ship Ledger for Clipper Ship Kit Carson 1861-1862 Boston to San Francisco
Abstract
This ledger is hard-bound, 10 ¼” high x 8” wide x ⅝” thick. It is preprinted with form pages and is a “Shipmaster’s Account with Crew” for the ship “Kit Carson,” Capt. Anthony Howes, Master, covering the years 1861 – 1862. Only 23 leaves of the ledger have entries. This ledger is for a voyage from Boston to San Francisco on the Clipper Ship Kit Carson built by the Shiverick Boatyard.Artifacts
