D F. COBB COLLECTION - A collection of documents and letters, all related to Capt. David F. Cobb of Dennis Port. They were found in the archives of Pauline (Wixon) Derick of South Dennis. The original origin of the documents is unknown. David F. Cobb was born in Harwich 15 Sep 1840, the son of Warren Cobb of Hyannis and Bashaba Smith of Harwich. He married (intention 16 Jan) 1867, Zuletta Baker of Dennis, the daughter of Sylvester & Lucy (Rogers) Baker. They had 3 children, but only one survived infancy, daughter Velma E. Baker, born 20 Oct 1867. Capt. David died in Dennis Port, 13 Jan 1875, aged 35 years, and is buried in Swan Lake Cemetery, Dennis Port. Zulette never married again, and she died in Malden, 25 Mar 1924, probably at the home of her daughter, then the wife of Ernest S. Butler; she is buried beside her husband.en_US
